YouTube Utility is a browser extension that adds optional playback features to YouTube. This policy explains what information the extension handles and how it is used.

Information the extension handles

• YouTube page and playback information: On YouTube, the extension checks the current page and video/player state to provide its features, including Shorts Auto Scroll, Mini Player, and Picture-in-Picture.
• Video frame: If you click the Screenshot button, the extension reads the current video frame and copies it as a PNG image to your clipboard. This action is initiated by you.
• Settings: The extension saves your feature on/off choices and Mini Player position and size.

How information is used and stored

The extension processes YouTube page and playback information locally in your browser to provide the features you enable. Settings are stored using Chrome's local extension storage. A screenshot is processed in the browser and written to your clipboard only when you use the Screenshot button. The extension does not upload this information to the developer or to external servers.

Sharing and sale

YouTube Utility does not sell, share, or transfer information handled by the extension to the developer or to third parties. The extension does not use this information for advertising, analytics, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.

Data retention and deletion

Settings remain in Chrome's local extension storage until you change or remove them, or uninstall the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its locally stored settings. A screenshot copied to the clipboard remains subject to your device's clipboard behavior and can be replaced by copying something else or cleared using your operating system.

Children's privacy

YouTube Utility is not designed to collect personal information from children or any other users.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the extension's features or data practices change. The effective date above will be revised when an update is made.
